Marine facilities at the site can berth vessels from small chemical carriers to very large crude carriers. The company operates 14 manufacturing facilities in total, 11 in India and three in Malaysia, with oil-to-chemicals assets also at Hazira, Dahej, Nagothane, Vadodara, Patalganga, Silvassa, Barabanki and Hoshiarpur and Malaysian sites at Nilai, Melaka and Kuantan.

Petrochemicals and capacity expansion

Reliance describes itself as the largest integrated petrochemical producer in India, the world's largest integrated polyester producer, a top-five producer of purified terephthalic acid and polypropylene and the third-largest paraxylene producer with 4.6 million tonnes per annum of capacity.
