Select Water Solutions, Inc. is a US oilfield water and chemistry company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker WTTR. It moves, stores, treats, recycles and disposes of water for shale oil and gas producers, and manufactures the chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing, cementing and enhanced oil recovery. Its corporate office is at 1820 N I-35 in Gainesville, Texas, with a Houston office and a chemistry operation on the Sam Houston Parkway.
Three operating segments
- Water Infrastructure owns and operates pipelines, saltwater disposal wells, recycling and treatment facilities and midstream water networks, earning fee-based revenue under contracts that carry minimum volume commitments.
- Water Services provides last-mile water logistics and delivery, sourcing and transfer, containment, above-ground storage tanks and fluid handling for completion operations.
- Chemical Technologies manufactures and blends fracturing chemicals and related treatment products in basin facilities.
Water Infrastructure generated record revenue of 101.6 million dollars in the second quarter of 2026 at a gross margin before depreciation and amortisation of 58.3 per cent, Chemical Technologies also set a quarterly record at 96.0 million dollars, and Water Services contributed 198.2 million dollars.
Produced water volumes and infrastructure
The company handled approximately 1.5 million barrels of produced water a day through recycling or disposal in the second quarter of 2026. Tideline, its lay-flat hose system, is designed specifically for produced water and is focused on the Permian Basin, and the company runs midstream water networks and facilities it describes as balanced for multiple users.
During the second quarter of 2026 Select signed a seven-year produced water transportation agreement with a large public operator covering its Northern Delaware Basin footprint. The agreement includes the conveyance of 14 saltwater disposal wells and related assets in Lea and Eddy counties, New Mexico, and Select is building 19 miles of large-diameter pipeline to tie them into its existing network; the contract carries a 128-million-barrel minimum volume commitment, and the project is expected to cost about 25 to 30 million dollars and to be operational within a year. The company added sixteen saltwater disposal wells in the quarter through conveyances and acquisitions, and it signed further minimum volume contracts, acreage dedications and tie-in agreements across the Permian, Bakken, MidCon and Northeast regions, together with a mineral extraction agreement covering iodine recovery.
Results and capital programme
First-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue was 366.0 million dollars, 6 per cent above the fourth quarter of 2025, with net income of 9.4 million dollars and adjusted EBITDA of 77.6 million dollars. Second-quarter 2026 revenue rose 8 per cent sequentially to 395.8 million dollars, about 9 per cent higher than the prior-year quarter, with net income of 22.6 million dollars and adjusted EBITDA of 92.7 million dollars. Both revenue and adjusted EBITDA exceeded guidance, and the company guided to adjusted EBITDA of 90 to 94 million dollars for the third quarter and to net capital expenditure of 250 to 290 million dollars for the full year to fund contracted infrastructure growth.
Chemistry, industrial water and sustainability
Select's chemistry business manufactures and blends friction reducers, surfactants, biocides and other treatment chemicals in basin facilities to shorten lead times, and it maintains research and development and field service teams to support them. Its industrial solutions group applies the same water management skills outside oil and gas. The company publishes a sustainability report and links part of its credit facility to sustainability targets, and it reports on emissions management, seismic response and non-energy beneficial reuse of produced water, an area where regulators in several states are reviewing rules.
