Unique Group is a subsea technology and engineering company headquartered in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It supplies equipment, engineered systems and project support to offshore oil and gas, renewables, maritime and defence customers, working from more than 18 locations and combining its own manufacturing with agencies for third-party industry brands.

From a Sharjah garage to a global supplier

The company dates its start to 1993, when Harry Gandhi founded it in a garage in Sharjah with three employees, signing its first marine and subsea agency agreement two years later. Its own timeline records acquisitions that built out the business: Hydra Marine in 2000, which brought diving and life support manufacturing in Cape Town; Seaflex, the airlift buoyancy bag and water load test weight specialist, in 2011; Wellube in 2012, adding hot tapping and line stopping; GSE Rentals and Oceanwide Safety at Sea in 2015; Water Weights in 2018; the marine division of Western Advance in Australia in 2020; and Subsea Innovation in 2024, which added mechanical systems, structural design and mission equipment engineering. Blue Water Energy took a strategic investment in the group in 2014, and in 2022 the company introduced a new corporate identity and logo.
