Alucor is an international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company pairs EPC delivery with in-house manufacturing and fabrication, and works across the oil and gas, petrochemicals, ports and marine, power and water, mining and metallurgy, and offshore and renewables sectors. Its operations span more than eight countries, with over 2,000 employees, 150,000 square metres of workshop facilities and more than ten ongoing projects.
What Alucor does
Alucor covers the full EPC value chain — engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, maintenance and commissioning — and delivers projects as complete turnkey solutions. The company's method centres on off-site modularisation: structures, piping and equipment are manufactured in workshop conditions and then assembled and installed on site, which reduces construction costs, optimises schedules and improves quality. Quayside facilities at its manufacturing base allow large structures and equipment to be loaded directly onto vessels for international transport, shortening logistics timelines on projects delivered outside the UAE.
Engineering, procurement and construction teams work from the design and engineering phases through to implementation, commissioning and handover. In-house civil construction, mechanical engineering and electrical disciplines allow Alucor to take on multidisciplinary scopes, and project management and construction processes are digitised to support efficiency and productivity.
Industries served
Alucor's EPC and fabrication work is organised around six industry groups.
- Oil and gas — onshore and offshore EPC work built on more than three decades of sector experience.
- Petrochemicals — process and plant construction and fabrication.
- Power and water — manufacture and installation of structural steel, piping, storage tanks and equipment for gas-fired and coal-fired power plants and desalination plants.
- Mining and metallurgy — equipment, plants and supporting infrastructure.
- Ports, marine and infrastructure — modular construction for bridges, roads and architectural projects.
- Offshore and renewables — design and construction for offshore wind projects.
Service lines
Alucor's services are offered individually or as an integrated EPC scope.
- Engineering — structural, mechanical, electrical and piping engineering, delivered with design technology and a value-added approach to cost, design performance and schedule.
- Procurement — international sourcing relationships, a best-pricing approach and supply chain and logistics networks supporting on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Fabrication — off-site modularisation for the oil and gas and renewables industries, supported by 3D marking, scanning, survey and measurement technology.
- Construction — multidisciplinary construction teams using digitised project management, detailed manufacturing and construction plans and critical lift studies.
- Maintenance — facilities, equipment and personnel for maintaining customer infrastructure and equipment.
- Commissioning — verification that equipment, systems and processes meet performance and quality requirements and are ready for full operation.
Fabrication facilities and technology
Alucor's fabrication work is carried out from 150,000 square metres of workshop facilities, including temperature-controlled machining facilities equipped with CNC machines up to 13 metres in length. Automation includes robotic welding, and dimensional control is supported by 3D marking, scanning, survey and measurement technology. The company operates a quayside manufacturing facility from which large structures and equipment are loaded directly onto vessels.
Construction and project delivery
Alucor has executed complex construction projects requiring detailed planning, manufacturing and construction plans and critical lift studies. Notable accomplishments include a single ball mill lift weighing more than 200 tonnes, the rigging and installation of oversized bridge structures weighing more than 100 tonnes, and the manufacture and delivery of 280 jacketed pipe units, each 65 metres long and weighing 80 tonnes.
Values, ethics and compliance
Alucor's stated values are health and safety, innovation, excellence and responsibility. The company operates a corporate governance and ethics and compliance framework covering employees, suppliers and partners, with compliance with internal policies and government laws and regulations; corruption, bribery and unethical behaviour are prohibited under that policy. Alucor's mission is to build a dedicated and innovative workforce that plans, engineers, manufactures and executes construction and fabrication projects, and its vision is to become the industry benchmark in engineering, construction and fabrication by embracing technology and continuously developing core competencies.
