Touchstone Exploration has brought PS-623 onstream, completing the first well of a two-well development campaign on the WD-4 block in Trinidad. With the first well now producing, the company has moved the rig to the second location in the programme, keeping the campaign on a sequential footing.

The well was spudded on 19 September 2026 and drilled to a total depth of 6,500 ft, reaching that depth on 4 October. The interval from spud to total depth therefore covered roughly two weeks of operations, after which the well was completed and tied in for production.

Evaluation work on the well has also been completed. Touchstone's interpretation of wireline logs points to approximately 450 ft of potential net hydrocarbon pay, distributed across an interval extending from 3,326 ft to 6,250 ft. That range spans most of the drilled section above total depth, giving the company a broad pay window to assess as production from the well continues.

For Touchstone, the onstream date of PS-623 marks the first step in the WD-4 block campaign, with the second well now the focus of drilling activity. The transition from one location to the next without a reported gap suggests the operator is running the two-well programme back to back.

For operators and service companies active in Trinidad, the campaign offers another data point on development drilling in the WD-4 block. The reported net pay figure will be one of the key numbers to watch as the well builds a production history and as results from the second location become available.
