Temperature converter: °C, °F, K, °R

Convert temperature between degrees Celsius, degrees Fahrenheit, kelvin and degrees Rankine.

Inputs

Use a decimal point or decimal comma, with no thousands separators. Scientific notation is accepted.

°F —
K —
°R —

How it works

Enter a temperature and choose its scale. °F = °C × 9/5 + 32, K = °C + 273.15 and °R = °F + 459.67.

Formula

°F = °C × 9/5 + 32 · K = °C + 273.15 · °R = °F + 459.67

Assumptions and limits

These scales have different zero points, so a temperature difference converts differently from a temperature: a 10 °C difference is an 18 °F difference, not 50 °F. Use kelvin or °R for absolute-temperature equations.

For education and quick estimates only. Check the result against the applicable standards and your project data before using it in design, operation or safety decisions.
